What makes something truly new or original? How do you spot opportunities to create new things, services or experiences? How do you determine whether a specific innovation is actually a good thing? What is the history of innovation and how may innovative ideas and practices become integrated into cultural practices? This course explores classic texts on entrepreneurship and innovation, while placing special focus on the role of artists and designers as agents of change, and the nature and promise of technology in the creation of our possible future(s). Open to: All School of Design Strategies upper-level undergraduate degree students; other upper-level students with permission of BBA in Strategic Design and Management program.
