In Core Studio 1, students collaborate with the iconic fashion house of Loewe, the second oldest still operating fashion house in the world. This practice-based studio involves both the faculty and company representatives including its creative director and external industry experts, who will follow the students’ work according to their availability. Students will work on a specific creative assignment presented to them by the Loewe creative team and familiarize themselves with the design codes and iconic themes of the house and how the Loewe’s current Creative Directors Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough are keeping its legacy relevant and modern today. Students then draw inspiration from all of the aforementioned for their own artistic work by reimagining and re-interpreting their research topics with their own individual creative approach.
