This course provides a dynamic multidisciplinary platform for the critical analysis of contemporary fashion and art theories and practices. By encouraging creative thinking through humanities research, it broadens the students’ perspectives on their own fields of creative action. Students are introduced to essential notions of anthropology of art, fashion criticism and contemporary curatorial theory. The lectures and research seminars include visits to multiple art and design venues, art fairs, Parisian galleries, art studios, fashion workshops and retail spaces.
