This course focuses on sustainability and design-led research methods, starting from practice as a basis for investigation. The course takes place simultaneously with Core Studio II and during the Research Seminar II students reflect, analyze and document the creative work they produce in Core Studio II. Students learn to cross the bridge and blur the lines and boundaries between research methods and research findings, and between theory and practice. The critical knowledge and skills acquired in this course will be used to put robust foundations for the development of the MFA thesis research in the following year.
