This integrative studio seminar is an open studio that allows students to question and understand very precisely the possible fields for professional development and action in Paris and internationally. Students are trained by experienced faculty, external talent managers, fashion and art experts, and human resources consultants to define better how they see themselves moving in the field. This exploratory work also helps them identify their competencies and explore objectively the possible options for their second year of study: for the Fall of Year 2 (internship, semester abroad in NYC or ethnographic fieldwork) and the Spring of Year 2 (MFA thesis topic, methodological approach, making phase and outcomes). This studio course includes the creation of a portfolio to highlight and articulate the students’ experiences, knowledge and artistic work.
