This course mixes research and studio work to introduce and explore garments, details and functionalities. The course is divided into two parts. First, students will follow a range of 3D exercises to learn fundamental sewing and pattern making techniques for garment functionalities. Second, students will follow an intensive training in creating and prototyping a basic pants supported by creative research of sports/active clothing finishes and details. Students will have limited options for design choices on certain details following their research.
