In this elective introductory studio course, students will receive an overview of the fundamentals of accessory design, focusing on key contemporary tools, techniques, materials, and sustainable processes. The course will provide students with an overview that will allow them to better understand the construction, stitching, and finishing processes for leather. Students will then build on their personal design project applied through design and sustainable material research, and will complete their course with a final prototype and the documentation of their process and design outcome. Open to: BFA FASHION DESIGN JUNIORS ONLY Pre-requisite(s): DESIGN STUDIO 2 + CREATIVE TECHNICAL STUDIO 2.
