This course explores the evolving relationship between creative writing and generative AI, examining how language models can become tools for experimentation, collaboration and critical reflection. How does artificial intelligence change the way we write, imagine and tell stories? Through practical exercises and collective discussion, students will explore AI-assisted storytelling, poetry, speculative narratives and hybrid forms of writing. We will investigate questions of authorship, originality, bias and creative agency, while considering how prompts, algorithms and human intuition shape the texts we produce. Combining hands-on experimentation with critical inquiry, the course invites students to challenge conventional approaches to writing, discover unexpected forms of expression and reflect on what it means to be creative in an age of intelligent machines. No previous experience with AI is required.
