Food Futures
Parsons Paris: Parsons Paris
CRN: 19647
Credits: 3
Over the course of the semester, we will examine the ways in which food cultures are shaped and in turn, shape us, and ultimately start to imagine what the future of food might include. Food is an inroad into inquiries about society, labor, politics, art, land use, belief systems, and global trade. In this course, students will be exposed to a wide variety of readings, food installations, culinary practices, films, audio works, and guests as a jumping-off point to situate their own perspectives and projects.
