A two-semester introduction to the art of singing, performing, and thinking about opera and sung theater for the undergraduate singer. The first semester focuses on listening, in-class viewings, and reports on various NYC live performances. Singers will work on arias/songs suggested by their Voice Teacher in this class; the class will focus on how text and dramatic work supports vocal technique.
