This course will give the young singer greater strength, flexibility, physical control and understanding of their own body. We will build a deep understanding of body awareness and how it is linked to breath, singing, and performance. Various techniques such as yoga, Lucid Body, and Alexander Technique will be used to improve the singer’s ability to create a rigorous and demanding physical performance. A two-semester course. This class works in close collaboration with Performance Practice 1A/1B.
