This class examines the often complex path of the modern singer and will provide necessary skills and real world advice to help navigate a professional singing career. Topics will include preparation and strategies for auditioning for arts organizations in the United States and Europe. Students will participate in musical coachings, mock auditions and in-depth discussions throughout the semester. There will be a strong emphasis on stress management skills for navigating difficult experiences such as dealing with rejection, facing financial instability, and many other issues that can arise whilst pursuing an artistic path.
