Students will gain hands-on experience accompanying their peers and accumulate as much repertoire as possible in all genres of collaborative pianism. Most of the emphasis will be placed upon accompanying string and wind players with some time devoted to the brass repertoire and to the skills necessary to accompany singers. Everyone will be expected to prepare a movement or part of a piece every week or other week. There are also opportunities to accompany lessons through cooperation with the Mannes Preparatory Division.
