Turning Social Justice into Professional Practice is a dynamic course designed to equip students with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to further social justice professionally—developing sustainable careers in activism, justice, and advocacy across diverse fields. The course is designed to empower those interested in justice to establish careers that are aligned with their passion for civic engagement. This course is open to students at all levels and varying interests across the university. Students will be introduced to activist-led engagements, guest visits, career roadmap development, and relationship cultivation, and you will gain practical skills and insights into the social justice industry. Turning Social Justice into Professional Practice can be seamlessly integrated into our existing career services, providing students with a holistic approach to their professional development. By combining practical skills with social justice and critical inquiry, this workshop aims to equip participants with the tools they need to make an impact in an unjust world. Join us as we embark on this exciting initiative to empower future civic leaders and shape the future of our society.
