This course provides an opportunity for students to engage with some of the leading practitioners of creative community development across the US. Each week will feature one or more artist-led projects and a key artist and/or policy maker at the center of those projects. In aggregate the course will explore the range of artistic and civic practices and the diverse philosophies underpinning various organizations and individual projects aimed at fostering equitable creative community development. Sessions will be a combination of lecture, discussion, and workshop.
