This course provides an opportunity for students to engage with some of the leading practitioners of creative community development across the US. Each week will feature one or more artist-led projects and a key artist and/or policy maker at the center of those projects. In aggregate the course will explore the range of artistic and civic practices and the diverse philosophies underpinning various organizations and individual projects aimed at fostering equitable creative community development. Sessions will be a combination of lecture, discussion, and workshop. The full list of artists to be featured in this course will be published when finalized.

This is a required course for the Graduate Minor in Creative Community Development. In order to fulfill the 3-credit course requirement for the graduate minor it needs to be taken in conjunction with CENT 5200 Artists and Community Change.
