This course will survey select advanced topics selected by the instructor, based on topics of current concern in development economics research. The topics will vary from year to year. The focus will be on understanding and critically responding to recent academic literature and policy analyses. Prior completion of Development Economics: Theory and History (previously called Economic Development I) at the New School or a corresponding advanced training in development economics is required.
