Ethics and Aesthetics

New School for Social Research: Philosophy

Liberal Arts
Graduate Course
Ethics and Aesthetics
Fall 2026
Taught By: Daniel Rodriguez-Navas
Section: A

CRN: 19479

Credits: 3

A more technical version of the first Lang course described above, with more emphasis on the relationship between metaphysics, ethics and aesthetics. Also aimed to provide graduate students (very partial) surveys of ethics and aesthetics. Two of the main authors here will be Nietzsche and Heidegger, as I think it's good for students to have the possibility to take more than one course on an author, and there are / have been seminars on them this year.
