This course will provide students with an opportunity to delve deeper into the administration, scoring, and interpretation of various psychological tests, focusing on psychometric principles and clinical applications to enhance diagnostic and treatment planning. Students will spend more time on learning therapeutic approaches to the clinical interview with a focus on applying Stephen Finn’s Therapeutic Assessment model. Class time will include reviewing videos of clinical interviewing, role-playing of therapeutic feedback, and a more immersive look into the personality structure that underlies various psychopathology that can be informed by psychological assessment. This course is designed for advanced students in their 3rd, 4th or 5th year. Prerequisites include Diagnostic Testing 1 & 2 in addition to Counseling center Testing practicum.
