A hands-on introduction to some basic building blocks of music: notes, intervals, scales, chords, voicings and spacing, meter and time signatures, the circle of fifths, and simple chords progressions, all with an emphasis on speed, accuracy, and facility. Course meets in the piano lab and focuses on production; i.e., notation and performing exercises at the keyboard.
