Basic tools will be outlined and then applied with weekly writing assignments. Students must be able to sing or play an instrument in order to complete the writing assignments. Knowledge and use of digital audio workstations are encouraged though not required for recording of their songs. No previous songwriting experience is required, but helpful. A basic understanding of music theory is a must.
