The objective of this course is to give you a better understanding of how to play and interpret various styles of drum charts as well as to provide you with the tools to effectively practice sight-reading on your own. Strong sight-reading skills strengthen your understanding of rhythm & music, improves your transcribing skills and moves you from the category of a drummer/musician who "kind of" knows what they are doing to a musician/drummer who knows inside-out what they are doing and also has the tools to explain it to another person (something that studio contractors & producers find very valuable in a drummer!). It increases your work possibilities, makes you a more attractive musician to other musicians and potential employers, improves your overall coordination and "sharpness" on the drums and makes you more aware of your t i m e & f e e l.
