Wayne Shorter is one of the giants of improvised music as well as a notable leader and composer. This ensemble will be an in-depth study of Shorter’s work, both compositionally and as an improviser. Classroom activities will include learning early compositions directly from the recordings as well as reading transcriptions made by the instructor. By audition, at the instructor's discretion.
