This class focuses on performing the early compositions of Ornette Coleman. An intuitive approach to learning his compositions as well as improvising will be emphasized. The course will explore music from his early albums including Something Else, This is Our Music, Tomorrow is the Question, and The Shape of Jazz to Come. By audition, at the instructor's discretion.
