The Laurel Canyon Ensemble is a five-week immersive experience in which students will develop an understanding of the Los Angeles "Laurel Canyon Scene" c.1965-75. The ensemble performs music by artists such as Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Carly Simon, Judee Sill, Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Gram Parsons, and others. Please be aware that this group performs entirely acoustically, using no microphones or amplifiers at all. The ensemble is open to singers, acoustic guitarists and bassists, pianists, percussionists, and other acoustic instrumentalists. By audition at the instructor's discretion.
