This course is designed to teach students how to create industry-standard songwriter demos, covering the essential skills needed to translate a song idea into a polished demo. Students will learn songwriting fundamentals, vocal recording techniques, a basic understanding of DAWs, sonic quality, mixing essentials, and industry expectations for demo delivery. Additionally, students will learn how to record their own instruments or collaborate with producers or musicians to create original music. By the end of the course, students will have at least one professionally recorded and mixed songwriting demo ready for pitching to A&Rs, publishers, producers, and music supervisors.
