In this course, students will explore the relationship between music and visual media, and the impact of scoring and sound design on visual storytelling. Through a study of scoring techniques, analysis of narrative structure, practical projects, and industry talks by special guests, students will gain a deeper understanding of how music enhances narrative, evokes emotion, and creates immersive experiences in film and television, streaming media and advertising, virtual reality and video games.

Please note, this course is repeatable for credit, however it can only count once towards the Undergraduate Performing Arts Core Distribution Requirement.
