A production course with equal emphasis upon conceptual and practical concerns, exploring composition, lighting, and camera movement, as well as the intent and meaning behind moving image making today. Studying the techniques of noted cinematographers, we will complete regular exercises, as well as a final project that emphasizes cinematic and narrative techniques. NOTE: This course is open to Lang students only. Successful completion of Introduction to Screen Studies or an equivalent course as approved by the DDA is a requirement for entering the course.
