This course will involve the study of James Joyce’s Ulysses as well as an examination of its cinematic adaptations including the various adaptations of Homer’s The Odyssey. The course aims to explore the problem of how to adapt literature and more specifically experimental literature into a viable cinematic form. [Track S]
