[Track S] This Seminar + closely investigates several historical periods in which radical changes in film took place. The course will focus on seminal cinematic and artistic works from the 1920s, 1960s, 1980s, and the 2000s. In this Seminar +, students will write papers, make presentations and create independent and team-based video projects responding to and proposing change in relation to contemporary issues. Class will also take field trips to meet scholars and contemporary makers active in documentary, arts, and activism. [Track S]
