This course is devoted to the continued development and programming of the online radio station WNSR (newschoolradio.org). The goal of each class will be to provide students with the tools necessary to create vibrant content and a practical management base for the station as a continuing University-wide enterprise. Classes will focus on the individual development of participating students as reporters, producers, and engineers. We will also partner with the students running the WNSR radio club. This is a practice-based course. This course counts towards the Medium requirement for the Journalism + Design Major. [Track M]

[Track M] This summer intensive course will meet from June 7 to July 2. This course will offer an immersive experience in audio news and feature production, with the aim of creating and curating short works for the University’s online radio station WNSR (newschoolradio.org) and for understanding the public media culture that shapes the station’s programming. Students will learn the rudiments of feature reporting and production, and how to hear, and not just see, the world. [Track M]
