Cultures of Capitalism examines the cultural dimensions of capitalism seen through a close examination of Marx's volume I of Capital, including the rise of volatility, risk, and uncertainty in certain activities like gambling, postmodern dance, and hip hop. This complicated history goes back to the early seventies when postmodernism first developed and looks at metamodernism in contemporary culture.
