In this course, students will focus on writing journalism in a variety of genres, including breaking news, more complex or in-depth enterprise stories, and features. Some reporting will be involved, but most of the work is writing, rewriting, and editing stories, with a focus on structure, mechanics, clarity, conciseness, and writing on deadline. Readings will including examples from newspapers and magazines.
