This summer intensive course will meet from June 7 to July 1. Singer, songwriter, memoirist, novelist, poet, painter, sculptor, Nobel Laureate in Literature, 2016: Bob Dylan contains multitudes. This course will cover all aspects of his career — so far. We will read his early attempts at poetry, his political writings and long lyrics of the early and middle 1960s, his post-Modern novel Tarantula (1965/6), interviews, and his memoir Chronicles Vol. 1 (2004).
