This course will build on skills acquired at the introductory level by asking students to experiment with a range of genres and styles. The course will require students to read with close attention, analyze the characteristics of a genre, and participate in a wide range of writing exercises. The written component will consist of one full-length story (between 7 and 10 pages) in one of the genres/styles discussed in class. This full-length story will be workshopped in class and will involve substantial revising. Pre-req of LLSW 2020 Intro Fiction minimum grade of B.
