Each semester, Lang’s First-Year Writing Program hosts a series of weekly talks where faculty present dynamic and interactive lessons in the craft of writing. These talks are meant as opportunities to bring writing students and faculty together for both in-depth discussions of writing fundamentals and the more advanced lessons in what it takes to write convincing and arresting work. All are welcome. Register for credit. Students who enroll will attend one orientation session and ten or more lessons and respond with ten written responses. This course will meet online via zoom. Students may join the craft talks via phone, if necessary. Please discuss this option with your professor if you are unable to access a computer or tablet during class time. Additionally, sessions will be recorded, if you miss one, you can request the recording from the department.
