Fall 2024
Taught By: Elizabeth McGhee
Section: A

CRN: 11067

Credits: 2

The general geography of this course is based upon the progression of vocal, physical, and imaginative exercises developed by Kristin Linklater. It expands the student's expressive range beginning with the foundation of free breathing, developing resonance, and releasing specific areas of tension. Students deeply explore the connection between their breath, their emotional and intellectual impulses and learn to connect to any text through freeing their natural voice. The students will practice speaking from a variation of writing styles, time periods and from a diversified arena of subjects. This course fulfills an elective requirement for Theater majors and minors.
