Tech Workshop: Essential DSLR

This intensive DSLR workshop is designed to give students a quick start into learning the ins and outs of fundamental DSLR image-making and mastering techniques of digital photography and its aesthetics. This workshop will review camera basics, practice using camera settings, controls and lenses; explore composition, form, and color theory; and incorporate theories of still photography and their relation to cinema in a hands-on, practical experience that will strengthen photography, cinematography and storytelling skills. This 1-credit Tech Workshop takes place over three consecutive Saturdays, with hands-on homework assignments during the intervening weeks. NOTE: For ONLINE section only: Students taking this course on-line are expected to own or acquire a Sony Mirrorless Digital Camera and Adobe Cloud-compatible computer, or comparable equipment. These are available for free check-out on campus, or for purchase from www.bhphotovideo.com (Sony A6500 DSLM) with a16 to 50 mm lens kit.
