Histories of Architecture
Parsons School of Design: School of Constructed Env.
Buildings and cities embody complex and conflicting histories. This course is global, diverse and interdisciplinary, investigating Histories of Architecture along a spine of carefully selected historical moments, with lateral case study comparisons that span geographies and cultures. This class also introduces a range of research methods to equip students for historical and design inquiry, including the close reading of buildings, texts and historical contexts.
