This course introduces students to research as a core component of transdisciplinary practice. Emphasizing reflexive, situated, and exploratory approaches, students engage with a range of frameworks drawn from the social sciences, design, and the arts, with a focus on expanded forms of ethnography. Through iterative exercises, students begin to develop a research practice grounded in context.

Open to: MFA in Transdisciplinary Design majors; others by permission of MFA in Transdisciplinary Design program.
