In this course we will expand on the fundamentals taught in Major Studio 1: Digital Product Design, with an emphasis on integrative user research, advanced prototyping techniques, iterative working methodologies, and development of applications across platforms. Students will learn to identify and solve design problems within digital products, creating systems which engage a variety of outputs, from screens and touch devices to voice control and beyond. The course provides students with an opportunity to acquire the advanced resources, skills, and hands-on experience they need to ideate, design, and evaluate interfaces from a user-centered design perspective. Emphasis is placed on the development of functional interactive prototypes built using contemporary methodologies.
