In this course we will explore prevailing frameworks of innovation to identify and categorize contemporary practices and uses of technology in the fashion ecosystem. We will examine the ways in which digital pioneers describe their own innovations and processes to compare and assess the validity and applicability of technology within the business of fashion. We will also look at various ways that new technology is changing the fashion landscape in retail, manufacturing and media. We will identify technological breakthroughs and interventions within the lifecycle of products and through the lens of the consumer/user journey. Through research, analysis and case study explorations, we will practice methods for value creation through innovation and technological interventions within various domains.
