This course provides students a preparatory and practical foundation for developing their careers post graduation. Students are encouraged to seek and participate in an approved internship, external project, or student-designed project, on their own while under the guidance of a faculty advisor and an approved external coordinator who is required to provide an evaluation at the end of the term. Internships and projects can also be identified using The New School’s Career Services (HireNew and career fairs) or The New School Network. Students may choose to work with an internal or external mentor they have identified to complete a self-defined project. Students will gain knowledge, experience, and skills for working in the fashion industry.
