This course provides an overview of photography as a visual language. Students are introduced to the fundamental techniques of image-making, focusing on digital capture. Through a variety of assignments, suggested readings and lectures, students explore the methods and aesthetics of photography. This hands-on technical course provides students with a solid understanding of digital capture and image editing, utilizing the most current software. Students are encouraged to experiment with different modes of photography, increasing their visual fluency and creating a final project portfolio based on individual interests.
