Communication Design Studio: Stories ⇄ Platforms
Parsons School of Design: School of Art, Media, and Tech
CRN: 2586
Credits: 3
This course examines how narratives and messages can be systematically expressed through visual form across digital platforms. Broadcasts, social media, peer-to-peer, and other forms of networked and emergent media give designers new opportunities to express ideas through form. Drawing upon past learning in typography and interaction, students are expected to prototype and iterate ways to systematically craft visual worlds that convey meaning to shape culture. Note: this course was previously offered under the title Advertising Concepts.
