This online studio is designed to give students a foundational exposure to printmaking. Through synchronous and asynchronous support, instruction and demonstrations, students will learn a range of printmaking methods. Fundamental tools and skill sets will be explored and developed. Online visits to museums, galleries, artist’s and master printer studios will broaden each student’s development of methodologies and further their insight into the history of print and the relevance of printmaking today. Students will complete this Introduction with a portfolio of original prints. The class is open to beginning and advanced students. Please note that there may be costs for materials up to $150 associated with this class. No students will be turned away from the class for an inability to pay this cost.
