In this Photo Processes course, you will be introduced to large format photography. You will develop a working knowledge of the view camera and deepen your skills in darkroom photography. We will focus on the technical use of the view camera along with advanced black-and-white printing methods, including contact printing and large-scale prints. These specialized techniques will be explored alongside their historical roots and the conceptual strategies of diverse photographic artists. Through hands-on demonstrations, creative assignments, and real-world applications, you will strengthen your image-making abilities across photographic mediums and continue refining your personal artistic vision.

Open to: Bachelors Degree in Photography Majors only. Pre-requisite: PUPH 2100 Core Studio 1: Photo Practices.
