This Experimental Printmaking course invites students to build and expand their printmaking practice. The course will be guided by individual exploration. A variety of methods and materials may be introduced depending on the direction of student interest. For example, those adept at silkscreen processes may be encouraged to use glues, pigments, gloss and matte mediums, transparent and opaque inks to develop and expand the range of skills and complexity of project outcomes. In addition the use of various substrates such as wood, canvas and fabric will move work past the flat surface into 3D forms that could be utilized by students studying Product Design, Illustration, Accessory Design as well as other major studio areas.
