In contemporary art, photographic processes are a starting point to create works that expand from traditional notions of the print. In this course, the technologies and ideas of photography are mined as a starting point for projects in expanded media. The course is a means to discuss various strategies and to view applicable contemporary work. Installations, conceptual projects, projections, public-sited works, websites, video, slide shows, and artists' books are all potential explorations for this course.
