In this Advanced Photo Processes course, we will work with a variety of advanced and specialized studio lighting techniques in commercial, fashion, and still life studio photography. Through technical demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and creative assignments, you will learn the methods to refine your vision. Employing flash, strobe lighting and advanced lighting modifiers we will explore the expressive, emotional and physical characteristics of different types of light in real-world scenarios. Emphasis will be placed on refining and combining these technical skill sets into innovative images and sustainable working methods in a collaborative work structure. You will work in creative teams and seek collaborators that may include models, prop stylists, make-up artists, and clothing and product designers.

Open to: Bachelors degree in Photography majors, juniors and seniors only; others by permission of Photography program. Prerequisite: PUPH 2110 Core Studio 2.
