In this Advanced Processes course, we will work with a variety of 19th-century photographic processes while considering current and new image-making technologies. The history of photography is discussed in connection with the techniques taught in class. Students are encouraged to explore the historical processes covered in the course in combination with contemporary processes. Through technical demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and technical and creative assignments, students develop a working knowledge of a range of methodologies while also developing their own visual language.

Open to: Bachelors degree in Photography majors only. Pre-requisite: PUPH 2110 Core Studio 2.
